Avoiding walking on the carpet straight away.

It’s tempting to start enjoying your new looking carpet as soon as we’ve left but we recommend leaving it to dry thoroughly before you start walking over it. One of the main reasons we recommend this is because oils from bare feet can affect the carpet.

Don’t move your furniture back into place while the carpet is drying.

On occasions we have to move furniture out of the way to ensure all your carpet is cleaned and once you have that sparkling new carpet you want to move everything back in. We recommend you don’t, not until your carpet is dried entirely. The reason for this is because damp patches can cause marks, stains and dirty areas that will dry into your carpet, meaning it will need cleaning again.

Use a carpet protectant

We recommend using a carpet protectant between cleans to help prevent any dirt or stains penetrating the carpet and causing tougher stains to remove, especially if your carpet is in a high traffic area. Carpet protectant however does wear off over time.

Have a good care routine for your carpet.
