Professional pet urine, odour removal and carpet cleaning in Sutton Coldfield

Qualitas Carpet Cleaning was called out to inspect a pet urine contamination job in Sutton Coldfield, where a family dog had unfortunately urinated on carpets in bedrooms and on the landing. After our initial inspection we realised that this was of a heavy nature with visible dark stains on the carpets.

Once our customer was happy with the course of action we were going to take, we began the carpet cleaning process. To start with we tried to remove as much of the cleaning products and home remedies as possible by rinsing the areas with clean fresh water. This helps eliminate any reactions that commercial products may have had with our superior cleaning products.

After the areas had been rinsed we used a specialist enzyme cleaning solution which is designed specifically for pet urine stains and odour removal. The solution was left in the carpet for forty five minutes to an hour, giving the active enzymes time to break down the staining and destroy the odour. An enzyme cleaning solution has better results than a deodoriser. which will only mask the odour for a certain amount of time, whereas our cleaning products eradicate the pet urine odour permanently.

Due to the heavy nature of the contamination we used a substantial amount of cleaning solution to ensure it would penetrate not only the carpet but also the underlay. We removed the enzyme treatment with a specialist rinsing aid. We followed this up with a full professional carpet clean of the entire area, as there were some general soiling issues on carpet as well.

After a period of drying time, the areas which had been affected by pet urine stains, were treated again with a post urine neutraliser. This specialist product can be left to dwell to ensure there is no remaining odour. Although none had remained after our treatment we like to be thorough there is no chance of any odour returning.

We proceeded with a follow up call a week later to our customer to ensure the odour had not returned, which it hadn’t, and they were extremely happy with the outcome. Another very successful treatment process with no pet urine odour and staining in Sutton Coldfield, and one dog that is now banished from upstairs.
